The Uttar Pradesh State Open School Education (UPSOSE) is dedicated to providing quality education up to the secondary level for educationally disadvantaged students in Uttar Pradesh. Aiming to integrate girls and children from weaker sections of society into mainstream education, the Government of Uttar Pradesh replaced Patrachar Shiksha Sansthan Allahabad with the UPSOSE in 2008 through an Act known as The Uttar Pradesh State Open School Education Act, 2008 (U.P Act No. 27 of 2008)
